Hale Moe' Uhane (Dream House) Puako 1-2-3 ‘ is located in the enchanting beach community of Puako on the Big Island of Hawaii, on the sunny Northwest side of the island. This impeccable property provides everything for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, peppered with adventure if you so choose. Set upon an expansive grassy lawn, this fully enclosed property offers a safe haven for young and old.

Just steps away is the beach access leading you to the magic of Puako. The lava pools are perfect for all explorers. Swim with the sea turtles and amazing sea life. The beach is perfect for sun tanning while keeping a close eye on the kids or immersing yourself in your favorite book. A good pair of reef walkers is a good idea. They will allow you hours and miles of exploration along this pristine stretch of beach and lava pools. Just offshore, is world-class snorkeling and scuba-diving.

After a day at the beach, come home to a luxurious, private, outdoor rain shower surrounded by lava rocks and bamboo. Enjoy a game of ping pong with the kids or nap on the daybed while you enjoy the breezes of Hawaii. All of which is included on the ground level, covered, open-air recreation area.

Upstairs, the open floor plan and abundance of windows and walls of sliding doors allow guests to enjoy the trade winds that freely flow thru Puako, 24/7. However, for those extra hot and sticky days, the home offers the luxury of being fully air-conditioned with split units in every main room. Wireless Internet is available throughout the property with cable TV in every bedroom and the main living room. The over 2,500 sqft of living space features furnishing that are all brand new and well appointed. The fully stocked kitchen has a gas range wall oven and microwave. There is formal dining both indoors and outdoors and wrap around lanai on the upper level. There are peekaboo views of the ocean to the west and beautiful mountain views to the east in a panoramic setting. The primary bedroom and bathroom encompass the entire loft area of the 2nd story and has a pony wall that opens to the great room below. The 4th bedroom is an Ohana (family studio apartment) located on the ground level which includes its own bathroom. To rent the additional Ohana you will need to contact us to add it to your rental.

Puako, once an ancient fishing village and sugar plantation, is now the ONLY residential oceanfront neighborhood on the South Kohala Coast of The Big Island. Take a 15 minute beach walk south to the nearby Fairmont Orchid for further sunsets, conversations, cocktails, appetizers, live music and dinner. Or hop in your car and take a 5 minute drive to the famed Mauna Kea Beach Hotel or the special Mauna Lani Resort. One of our favorite must stops is is the famous blue Malasada truck. Hot homemade donuts as you wait. Be sure to visit uncle Bobby for a fresh cut coconut with a straw.

Puako is home to the largest collection of Hawaiian petroglyphs (rock drawings) in the State. Take the family on a petroglyph hunt and ask them what they think these ancient symbols could mean. Just make sure the whole family is wearing good shoes. Over 3,000 of these drawings can be found in Puako alone, each with a story to be told.

Our goal is to make the house a home away from home for our family and yours. Alex was born in Hawaii and has come home. This is truly the "Dream house", thus the name, she has found for her family to learn and enjoy the Aloha spirit she experienced as a child.

  We have stayed in many vacation homes over the years. We have also owned a vacation home we rented out for 30 years. This home was the best equipped home of any home we have stayed in including our own. The location was fantastic for us. It was quiet and comfortable. We had one issue when the dishwasher would not start and management came the same day and fixed it, terrific customer service. The layout of the house was perfect for our 3 generations. One couple in the basement apartment, one couple in the master bedroom, and our grandson got his choice of bedrooms on the first floor. I would recommend this property without hesitation. It is fantastic.

  Hale Moe‘uhane was an airy, well located Puako house near 2 public beach access. The downstairs rec area was a great gathering place. We enjoyed the lava/coral tide pools.

  Our family had a delightful time at Hale Moe' Uhane. We chose this home for the layout, the ping-pong table, and the comfy living room. This house definitely checked our boxes. The decor, comfortable furniture, beds, well-stocked kitchen along with cooking ingredients all made our stay as we like to eat dinners in, enjoy movies at night, explore tide pools and lounge about when at home. The only things we wished we would have had were a couple bikes and boogie boards. Good communication with the property manager re: impending storm and water shutoff (due to a main break).
