Oahu Taxes on short term vacation rentals (calculated against rent, departure clean, early check ins, late check outs and any excess occupancy fees): 17.962% GET/TAT/OTAT
Departure Cleaning Fee: $900.00 + GET/TAT/OTAT = $1061.66
Mid-Stay cleans for every 30 day period; without linens $350+ GET/TAT/OTAT =$412.87 and with linens is $425+ GET/TAT/OTAT = $501.34
Refundable Security Deposit: $3,000.00
Reservation fee: 3.00% on entire amount.

3. This Hawaii vacation rental home has been registered as a Transient Accommodation with the State of Hawaii
4. Pool is solar heated. Pool is 33’x13' and depth is 4’6" on ends with 5' area in the middle.
5. Seawall with no railing; steep drop down with NO ocean access. Sandy beach access 3 houses down.
6. There is no child safety fence option for around the pool area. All children must be supervised by adult. Pool can be cooler in winter months.
7. No Garage Use. Tarmac for 2 cars off street; small or midsize only. Large SUV’s will not fit. Very limited street parking.
8. This property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days. Rental prices will not be reduced or adjusted based on the number of days the rental is actually used or occupied.

  My family of four stayed at Honu Heaven for a several nights over New Years. The home was in good condition and the Lanikai location is fantastic. Note that the property does not have direct access to the beach but is just a short walk to the public access. Trinity's staff was responsive and accommodating.

  This is our sixth time renting this property and it never disappoints. My husband calls the lanai overlooking the Mokulua islands and ocean his "happy place." So fun to watch the turtles and kayaks/outrigger canoes go by ("lanikai rush hour"). The decor is always colorful and soothing. We enjoy returning and seeing what improvements/enhancements the owners have made since our last stay. Staff is helpful and responsive. Truly a special place.

  We loved our stay at Honu House!! The house facing the beach has lot of seating areas to enjoy the view. We appreciated the AC in the bedrooms. The kitchen was very well stocked and I appreciated that there was even tupperware containers for us to store our food and chip clips. Clearly the owner cares about their place and makes sure that the guests have all their needs taken care of. I loved the clothes drying line on the side of the house. Overall a fantastic stay. My kids are older and can swim so I would NOT recommend this place with kids who can't swim or are toddlers. I totally get why the owner has the gate locked to the beach - it looks super slippery to get into the water.

  I grew up on Oahu and we have rented many beach houses over the years. This is without a doubt the nicest house we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect - the entrance to Lanikai where Kailua beach is just a short walk over the hill and Lanikai beach is just steps away. The lack of beach in front of the house is a plus because it gives you privacy and puts you in the spot where the Hawaiian sea turtles (honu) come to play and feed throughout the day. My husband even came face to face with a curious one while snorkeling in the fish filled waters. In the main house, the picture windows give an amazing view of the sea and sky so that you feel like you are floating peacefully in a boat on the ocean. The decor is colorful without being garish and comfortable with attention to small details such as the drawer knobs and the abundance of local art. The courtyard pool is warm and landscaped perfectly with white plumeria floating on top and strategic lighting at night. We cook most of our meals ourselves so the logical kitchen layout, efficient grill and abundant kitchen utensils were all important. The extra wing was perfect for the first week when our kids were with us, but the main house is compact enough that when they left the second week and we had the place to ourselves it didn't feel empty. The Hawaiian Villa Rentals staff was responsive if we had questions but not intrusive. We would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

  You simply can't put into words how fantastic this place is. A wonderful beach house with privacy beyond belief. Should you be so inclined, you would never have to wear clothes. There will be no one -- no one walking in front of the house. Ever.
  
  The pool is a sort of black bottom lava type pool that was solar heated between 87 and 94. Lanikai beach was exactly 221 steps from the door of the house and only about a 100 from the back steps.
  
  Lanikai beach is amazing. tremendous temperature, safe enough for the most timid, the interesting enough to snorkel the shallow coral canyons.
  
  The house is wonderful. with great couches, on the water with air conditioning in the bed-rooms should you need it. you shouldn't there are fans everywhere.
  
  The kitchen is the perfect size. The kitchen knives were outstanding. the barbecue worked like a charm.
  
  The service was fantastic. Trinity bent over backward to make sure everything was perfect. this place is expensive. If you have the money, its worth it.
  
  There is an amazing outdoor shower with hot water. Need I say more?

  Honu Heaven house is fantastic. Great location. Even though the beach can get crowded, we could walk back and enjoy the same views and water from the house and better yet, have a cold drink in hand while doing so. The house had all the amenities we needed, although we could not find a broom, but hey, who cleans when you're on vacation? Having a pool helped a lot.. it's HOT in August!! Great trip, great house - we'll return.

  The home was extremely spacious and well equipped and in immaculate condition. The two outside units were a plus, very nice for privacy for my son and his girlfriend and comfortable. The grounds in and around the houses are extremely well kept as is the pool. The property manger was easy to deal with and the process from booking through the stay was flawless.We would definitely rent this property again and would recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Kailua.

  The property was well located for our needs. Acccess to the beach was ideal. The open dining area and living room was spacious and allowed for mulitiple conversations to take place amongst our group. The patio was great. Seperation of sleeping areas were ideal. No bath tub was a disappointment for the females. Shower in the main house was cramped. The other two were great. Access to a washer and dryer was fabulous. Our family really enjoyed themselves and we left with many memories to be cherished for life. The view was spectacular of the Mokulua Islands. It was a shame that they cancelled the 4th of July Fireworks off of Flat Island. The children enjoyed seeing turtles swiminning each day close to the shore. Trinity Property personnel were courteous and responsive. Claudia and Meghan were great. Did not realize that the alarm code opened the gate. Always thought we had to carry the clicker. Is it necessary to have the sprinklers come on every day? We would recommend a small refrigerator for the the adjoining rooms from the main house. We could not find a broom to sweep the floor and patio. Overall a great location, outstanding 180 degree view of the ocean and land. Mahalo Nui Loa!

  Plumeria Hale offered a great way for our family to spend time together, with two babies under two years. We were able to go to the beach and trade off babysitting, with no packing the car and parking issues. However, Lanakai, in general, had major traffic/parking issues during the holidays. We were glad we could walk where we wanted to go.
  
  Re: the house itself, the grandparents stayed in the main house while the two young families stayed in the separate unit. That worked well for us. We all enjoyed sitting on the back patio, bar-b-queing fresh fish and enyoying our oceanview dining. Early morning (sunrise) and late afternoon beach walks were great for me, as I do photography. The house was well stocked with what we needed and attractively decorated. I could easily move in there. :)
  
  As a last note, Trinity staff were extremely responsive to requests we made after we got there and the welcoming basket was a wonderful idea and totally consumed. We hope to return here someday.

  Thank you to Trinity Properties and all the staff that help make our stay the most Wonderful Family Vacation we have ever had. Carissa was great with booking our stay in Lanikai~Pulmeria Hale. And also Claudia was great checking us in, making us a goodie basket and making us feel right at home. I rented a Play & Pak from Jackie and she was great getting that over to us and also freely giving information about the area. The house was in the best Location.
  The home was itself was breathtaking. The location, views and excellent condition of the home was perfect. We loved the owners bright colors in the kitchen and them home had everything we would need for a great stay. You can not go wrong renting this beautiful home. And if you don't do anything but looking our the window or sitting in back yard you will be relaxed!

  Whenever we needed anything, it was in a logical place, be it a sun hat, a battery, a bottle opener, windex, more garbage bags, anything. Never have we ever stayed anywhere that was quite equipped for such a memorable gathering. We were constantly impressed by the place, and plan to recommend it on to others.
